"Expert Systems had the best solution"

Best thing about my job: I have had the opportunity to be part of building a shared service centre from the start and to see how my fantastic personnel have grown over the years. We currently have 54 people, and it is always exciting to get to manage people.
Axfood made the jump from paper invoices to electronic invoices for overhead invoices via scanning. "Now the invoices are corrected in the Invoice Portal before they reach us, which saves a lot of time," says Ingmar Jeppsson, Manager SSC Axfood.
– Before we used to scan all of our paper invoices. It was a half-electronic solution that did not work out in the long run, says Ingmar Jeppsson at SSC Axfood.
Axfood is in the retail business with the wholly-owned chains Hemköp, Willys and in the wholesale business with Dagab, Axfood Närlivs and Axfood Snabbgross. In order to improve the purchasing process, Axfood is introducing electronic invoicing for all suppliers.
Axfood looked at several suppliers' solutions and decided on Expert Systems' the Invoice Portal. There were many different reasons for the decision: It was a web-based solution for small companies. The suppliers could decide if they wanted to submit invoices free of charge via the web or send invoices via Exder ePrinter. "Axfood could also contact Expert Systems to get help managing their suppliers via ESAM, a method for quickly connecting many suppliers to the Invoice Portal.
– Expert System had the best solution, regardless of whether the supplier sends one or a thousand invoices per year to us," says Ingmar Jeppsson. Ingmar Jeppsson sees many advantages with electronic invoices compared with scanning. For example, you can validate the amounts so that the content of the invoice is always correct. "Before, suppliers' invoices could contain all kinds of errors," says Ingmar Jeppsson. Now the invoices are corrected in the Invoice Portal before they reach us, which saves a lot of time.
