Coop is investing greatly in electronic business and has set the bar high in planning to connecting/migrating every Swedish supplier (with central agreements) to EDI and ESAP 20.1. The project will run for 24 months, which in turn will demand a great deal from project management, system providers and suppliers in order to be successful.

As a consequence Coop has turned to Expert Systems for project management, following the ESAM-method, to meet the deadline successfully. Expert Systems has great experience of big EDI-projects and the ESAM-method is refined to handle projects involving a large number of companies.

Exder is one of the systems that Coop is recommending to suppliers that is not yet using EDI. Exder is modified to suit Coop’s business flows, it is web-based and quick to run. Using Exder suppliers are able to widen their e-trade, connecting to other FMCG* companies, as well as the public- and industrial sectors.

- Connecting many suppliers in a short time period is not very easy, especially if you have not done it before. Using Expert System’s method ESAM makes it much easier, says Ewa Klevebro and adds:
